Staying connected in Andorra

Andorra is a landlocked country of 468 km² in the eastern Pyrenees, between France and Spain, and its ski season usually runs from late November to early April. Which Andorra plan to choose

GB plans suit most ski weeks, since maps and messaging take little data. Each plan card shows whether it is listed as 4G or 5G; on a 5G plan, expect 4G, with 5G where available. Unlimited plans give unlimited data with no data cap and no fair-usage limit, priced by the number of days, and the data + calls option adds call minutes. GB and unlimited plans are data only, and no plan includes a local phone number.

One network: Andorra Telecom

Andorra Telecom is the country's only provider of mobile, fixed-line and internet service. Mobiland is the name it has used for its mobile service, so a plan card that says Mobiland means Andorra Telecom. The operator completed a national 5G rollout in 2025, covering 91% of the population, and plans to switch off 3G zone by zone, so leave your phone's network selection on automatic.

Arriving via Barcelona or Toulouse

Andorra has no airport for fixed-wing aircraft. The nearest international airports are Toulouse-Blagnac (TLS), 195 km to the north, and Barcelona-El Prat (BCN), 198 km to the southeast, both with hourly buses that take about three hours. Once across the border, switch on the eSIM line, choose it for mobile data and enable Data Roaming for that line.

Spanish and French SIMs at the border

Andorra is not in the EU, and Roam Like at Home covers only the EU, the EEA, Moldova and Ukraine, so a Spanish, French or other EU SIM pays roaming rates here. The European Commission warns that roaming outside the EU and EEA can be expensive, particularly for data. Some operators include extra countries voluntarily, so check your own tariff.
